Making Peace With Fear

I’ve had a few days of fear recently, initially I had to ignore it because I wasn’t strong enough to cope with it. But I gradually allowed myself to let it express itself a little at a time, all the time calmly reminding it that we’re gonna be OK, no matter how it looks we will be OK.
It’s taken me maybe 24 hrs to talk it down, I didn’t buy into it, I just reached for a better feeling thought every time it came up with a new what if, and I think that now we both feel better.
Do I anticipate seeing it again, most likely yes, but we’re friends now, we can sit calmly and chat until we reach a solution that we both enjoy
