  1. I've seen so many posts recently about toxic people and how to spot them.

But we all have toxic tendencies, every single one of us.

I'm quite a strong person, so I know what I want and for the most part I won't take other people's shit.

And many people see those qualities as admirable. But those qualities also have the potential to be perceived as me being a self absorbed know it all.

But should I tone down who I am just because some people don't like it or can't deal with it?

    Absolutely not!

None of us are perfect, not a single one of us, and feel free to correct me on that point.

Instead of pointing out the flaws of others, and trying to hold them accountable for their flaws, perhaps, just perhaps, it's time we started working on ourselves, because I promise you, when we start working on improving ourselves, what other people are or aren't doing, is not an issue.

We won't label or judge because we won't care.

When we begin to hold ourselves accountable for what is going on in our life, and take responsibility for our own choices, then we are free from what we perceive to be the influence of other people. No-one can can hold anything over us, unless we allow them to.

Don't get me wrong, the inner work is not a five minute job, it's a life long process. But perhaps with a New Year just around the corner, now is as good a time as any to start xx

  2. When you don’t know what to do, then don’t do anything

If you’re confused, it simply means you are processing new information. And no, it is not necessary to be aware of what that new information is. On days like this, it is only necessary that you be kind to yourself, and accept that when the time is right, all will become clear.

In the meantime, just be, spend time doing things that make you happy. Reading, writing, walking, drawing, cycling, whatever brings you a sense of peace, even quiet contemplation.

Know that everything is right on track and you are exactly where you need to be.

    All is well

    xx
